About Me
I am a professionally trained doula and I attend births at any location in the Twin Cities metro. Whether you are birthing at home, a birth center, or hospital, I am here to support you. In addition to my professional doula training, I have a masters in Child Development - specializing in working with infants and their families. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and caregivers and have 6 years experience providing trauma informed care and support.
I believe that everyone deserves doula care and should have access to one. If you are interested in doula services, but are unable to pay my full cost, please contact me. I have availability a few times a year for pay-what-you-can doula services. I am also passionate about postpartum care and making sure that your family feels supported as you adjust to your little one.
I live in South Minneapolis on Očhéthi Šakówiŋ and Wahpekute land with my husband, daughter, and dog. Deep conversations, books I can't put down, exploring new places, and spending time with loved ones are some of my favorite things.
My Approach
My passion is supporting families to have the birth and/or postpartum experience they want. Support looks different for each family depending on your goals and expectations. No matter what you are looking for it is my goal to help you feel heard, supported, informed, and prepared. As your birth doula I work with you prenatally to help you learn about your options, provide evidenced based information, discuss birth preferences, and plan for postpartum. During labor I provide individualized support based on your needs, wishes, and evolving birth experience. As your postpartum doula I provide caring, nonjudgmental support as you adjust and navigate your postpartum experience.
